Day two. VA to TN

A little over 600 miles today. 10 hours with a time change.
It was about 43 when we left this morning at 0730 and never warmed up until we were 1/2 way across Tennessee.
We started out for TN by way of Roanoke.
Listening to the radio in Virginia on a Sunday is quite an experience.
These crosses ar all over so you can emagine what was on every radio station.
It was kind of nice seeing the Virginia mountains.

All of a sudden I spotted the first sign of warmer weather... FLOWERS
We finally got into Tennessee.
Next came Bristol Tennessee. Do you know what that town is famous for?? The bristol Motor Speed Way. A famous NASCAR track.

At noon we stopped for lunch (a hot dog) at a truck stop. Al is just leaving the best table at the place.
A short while later we stopped again for gas. This is what was hanging in the mens room.
What else could a guy ask for?????
WOW. Who-da-thunk-it???
Guess what else we saw by the roadside/... Another flower!!!
All of a sudden traffic started slowing very fast.. This is why. OOPS

I have a couple of videos I shot while driving in Tennassee.

The weather finally warmed up to 76 this afternoon. Looking forward to a warm drive tomorrow.
Our goal is Texarkana Arkansas.
Here is the update map of our trip so far.

That's it for tonight.
